Understanding Dyslexia

The term “specific learning disabilities” refers to an array of learning difficulties due to abnormal development of the brain, which usually results in significant problems in listening, speaking, reading and writing. The most common form of learning disability is “dyslexia” – a difficulty in word recognition, dictation, spelling, reading comprehension and written language processing. Some schoolchildren may also have difficulty in numerical processing.

According to the governments latest announcement, all private schools offering non-formal curriculum should suspend face-to-face classes till the start of the Chinese New Year Holidays.  During this period (January 11   February 11, 2021), teachers will continue to provide online lessons only to sustain students’ learning at home.  The class schedule will remain unchanged.

We would review the class arrangement taking into account the latest situation, please visit our website (www.pathways.org.hk/?lang=en) for the latest updates.
