Importance of Early Identification

Studies have proven that early intervention is the most effective way to help children affected by dyslexia. They can benefit the most if they are identified and given intervention support at the preschool stage, thereby reducing problems caused by learning and other emotional or behavioral reasons.

 

Professional Support Services for Preschool Children with Dyslexia

Pathways understands the learning difficulties for the child with dyslexia, and the challenges faced by the parents.  As a result, we carefully designed our services and courses to provide professional and intensive training, thereby supporting parents to help their child bridge the learning gap, trigger their positive performance, and rebuild their self-esteem.

  • 已識別為有讀寫障礙傾向的學前兒童;或
  • 已確診為有讀寫障礙的初小學生 (不超過8歲),經導師評估後,如有需要亦可報讀本課程
  • 加強學生的口語能力
  • 鞏固學生讀寫前應該具備的能力,扶助他們由語言世界進入文字世界
  • 幫助學生建立基本的識字及閱讀能力
  • 培養願意接觸文字的態度及發展閱讀的興趣

導師會因應學生的能力,並應用支架教學原理,設計由淺入深的學習內容及遊戲活動,讓學生透過有步驟的學習與練習,掌握口語、識字、書寫及閱讀的基本能力。

建基理論
博思會的支援課程框架,建基於得到國際閱讀研究支持的閱讀簡論,以識字能力及語言能力為兩大主要範疇,涵蓋口語詞彙及表達、文字解碼、閱讀理解及寫作等閱讀成份。

 

源於實證
導師的教學源於實證,設有課前及課後評估,評估內容與課程理論掛鈎,得以全面檢視課程成效。導師能夠因應評估結果,針對每個學生的讀寫困難,設計教學內容。

 

學生為本
博思會重視師生互動,導師按課前評估結果組成學習小組,照顧學生的個別需要,同時朋輩間可以互相鼓勵學習。學生可選擇面授或實時網上上課,或以混合模式上課。
